Volunteer Event - Packing Food for the Low Income Elderly
On May 15, 2010 we teamed up with the Interchange Food Pantry for three hours in the morning (http://www.interchangemilwaukee.org/). During this time, we unloaded trucks, packed and sorted food for the low income elderly. We also took part of a discussion regarding homelessness in Milwaukee and we found it to be a very educational and rewarding experience. See below for selected photos from the event:

Wine Tasting - Italian Wine Tour
On April 20, 2010 the Alumni Club hosted a wine tasting of Italian wines at the home of Doris & Ed Heiser. A Certified Wine Professional was on hand to talk about the eight different types of wines we sampled. The event was a success as we enjoyed plenty of wine and cheese! | |
Prospective Student Meet & Greet
On February 21, 2010, members Doris & Ed Heiser hosted the Prospective Student Meet & Greet at their home. Prospective students, their parents and alumni ate subs and pizza and networked. It was an excellent networking opportunity for Wolverines who were in different stages in their relationship with the University of Michigan! | |
Michigan Basketball Viewing Party
On February 6, 2010 the Alumni Club got together at Oakcrest Tavern to watch the Michigan Wolverines take on the Wisconsin Badgers. Although Michigan fell short of a victory, we had a great time! | |
Milwaukee Bucks Game On December 12, 2009 the Alumni Club headed to the Bradley Center to see the Milwaukee Bucks take on the Portland Trailblazers. Michigan Fab 5 member Juwan Howard suited up for the Trailblazers and we made sure to cheer hard for him. The game ended in a double overtime thriller, with the Bucks taking home the victory. | |
Annual Open Public Milwaukee Alumni Board MeetingOn December 1, 2009 we held the annual open public Alumni Board Meeting. We met at the Milwaukee Ale House downtown and elected the Board of Directors for 2010. (To view current board members please click on the "Board of Directors" tab on the left). | |

Jan Lievens Special Exhibit Tour at the Milwaukee Art MuseumOn April 25, 2009 The University of Michigan Club of Milwaukee organized a very special group tour of the Jan Lievens special exhibit at the Milwaukee Art at 1:30PM. This exhibit came to Milwaukee from the National Gallery of Art in Washington, DC and in association with the Rembrandt House Museum, Amsterdam. Before the tour, some of us grabbed lunch at the Water Street Brewery.
